The Last Guardian was last shown at E3 2015 (it was a no-show at both the Tokyo Game Show and Paris Games Week), but this was done on purpose in order to limit the amount of the game that is shown.
"Development is going well, but because it's about the story, we don't want to show too much," PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida told GameSpot.
"We wanted to show that it exists, it works, it runs. It's not like we won't show anything before launch, but I think we will try to limit what we show about the game."
The Last Guardian is set to be released in 2016.
