Time Warner, the parent company of Warner Bros., has released its earnings report for the latest quarter. Revenue for the company increased five percent to $6.6 billion, while net income is up seven percent to $1.04 billion.
"Our revenue growth was led by Warner Bros. and Home Box Office, and illustrated how our investments in great content have been paying off in our traditional television businesses, as well as in newer areas such as videogames," said Time Warner chairman and CEO Jeff Bewkes.
Warner Bros. itself saw revenue increase 15 percent year-over-year to $3.2 billion, while operating profits jumped 62 percent to $148 million.
The increases are down to the success of Lego Dimensions and Mad Max, as well as the continued strong sales of Batman: Arkham Knight and Mortal Kombat X. Good performances for the TV shows Supergirl and Blindspot also helped.
Through the first nine months of 2015 Warner Bros. was the top US publisher and Mortal Kombat X the top game.
