Square Enix is launching Final Fantasy VI for Windows PC via Steam next week, on December 16th.
"Play all the main characters as the game's protagonist, in this epic story intertwining each of their fates in a highly rated and wildly popular RPG classic. With plenty of abilities available and the magicite system for controlling spells/summoning, players can develop their characters any way they want."
The Steam version of the game features:
• Upgraded graphics by veteran character designer Kazuko Shibuya.
• Updated controls and active-time battle system.
• Steam achievements and Trading cards.
