During its keynote address at the 2016 Smite World Championship (which can be viewed on Twitch), Hi-Rez Studios detailed what gamers can expect from season 3 of Smite.
One of the biggest new features of the third season is the introduction of Japanese Gods. The first playable character from the Japanese Pantheon will be the Goddess of the Sun, Amaterasu. She'll join the cast of Smite on January 12th for PC (with her debut coming late February on Xbox One).
Other new features include a 3v3 Joust League, daily challenges, and a new Chinese-themed map that is designed for Joust play.
