GameStop CEO Paul Raines talked about Virtual Reality at the ICR Conference 2016 in Orlando and reported by GameSpot.
He stated that the three big competitors, the Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR, and HTC Vive, all look great. However, he revealed that Sony has the most titles in development for its VR headset.
"The more important thing will be the title count at launch," said Raines. "I think that's going to be big. And from what we can see at this point, Sony seems to have the strongest title count."
There is no exact figure on how many titles will be released for each VR headset. Though, Sony has stated more than 200 developers have signed up to develop PlayStation VR games.
"I certainly think [GameStop] is going to be a store you're going to want to buy your virtual reality products at," said Raines. "And it will come with a variety of accessories, by the way--there'll be goggles and gloves and motion [controllers] and all kinds of things. So it's very promising in a lot of ways."
"What people don't grasp, is we had very strong market share at the console launch," added Raines. "Depending on the country, we were in the 30-50 percent range. We think we can bring the same thing to VR."
