A has officially revealed the first footage of DICE's upcoming Battlefield 4, in the form of an extended 17-minute demo.
This footage highlights the single-player portion of the game, which looks to improve on its predecessor while keeping the open battlefields (heh) that make the series' multiplayer so much fun.
Furthermore, the game debuts the Frostbite 3 engine, the next iteration of the game engine that has powered all of the Battlefield entries since Battlefield: Bad Company. The footage here shows the engine runs on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, though we imagine that EA will announce next-gen versions of Battlefield 4 as well.
