The latest game in the popular Star Fox franchise, Star Fox Assault gives us new game play styles and new weapons, new multiplayer, and a good story. In this game, you must defend Lylat and Corneria from a highly advanced alien insect-like race known as Aparoids. Just hearing this, you would think the game would have been kick-ass, that was not the case entirely. The story was good, but Nintendo could have done MUCH better with it. There were some heart stoppers and good twists, but it wasn't as badass and intense as you initially thought. Besides from that, the multiplayer was, by far, the best and most fun. With a hefty amount of maps to choose from, a heavy arsenal of weapons scattered throughout the maps, vehicles, and multiple characters, the multiplayer gave you a great time and so much fun with your friends. Aside from that, gameplay is somewhat new; character movement is very quick and sensitive, almost like a flawless ninja (not from ninja gaiden though), air and ground decision makes a debut in the series, and different story lines are removed (as seen in Star Fox 64). After playing this game (i still do) i give this a 4 1/2.
Story could be better. Voice Acting was good. Multiplayer was awesome.
