If I could describe Far Cry 3 in one word it would have to be disappointing. The game left me disappointed because I kept thinking why couldn’t all games be this good? This game had everything I could want in a game which automatically means HUNTING. The hunting in this game is so epic that I would waste hours chasing Cassowaries and Tigers. The most tense moments wouldn’t be when I was being shot at by guards but when a bear would chase me and the only thing I would have to defend myself would be a small pistol. The scariest moments would be when I would be swimming and quite suddenly I would find myself being attacked by a crocodile.
The story is really good as it has just the right amount of twists and choices. You can either go in guns blazing and finish a single mission in 5 minutes OR you could take an entire half hour to scope the whole outpost while silently taking out any guards you can.
The combat is fluid and challenging. There is nothing more satisfying than getting a stealth kill with a knife in this game. The AI is deadly and merciless. The concept of animal doing the fighting for you is pretty cool. A very good game in my opinion.
Want to know the definition of insanity? Its not playing this game.
