Injustice: Gods Among Us, Zatanna, NetherRealm Studios

NetherRealm Studios has announced that Zatanna, DC Comics' resident magician extraordinaire, will be joining the roster for Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Zatanna joins previous DLC characters General Zod, Batgirl, Scorpion, Lobo, and Martian Manhunter, but Zatanna's moveset appears to rely more on speed, ranged attacks, and teleporting, providing a different skillset to the Injustice universe. Check out her gameplay trailer below:

What's most interesting is how Injustice seemingly reinterprets Zatanna's fighting style. In most reincarnations of her character, Zatanna employs magic by speaking words backwards, and has never really shown to be much of a physical fighter. Of course, Zatanna is a fan-favorite, so reworking her power-set for a fighting game makes sense.
