In addition to the Vita redesign, Sony also today revealed an all-new system in the form of the PlayStation Vita TV. Put simply, it's a Vita which can connect to the TV, and you can play your Vita games on the TV using a Dualshock 3 controller.
However, there's a bit more to it than that. For one, the system doesn't look like a Vita, as it has no buttons or even a screen on it. It looks more like an external hard drive than a portable gaming system, measuring a tiny 6cm by 10cm.
Don't be fooled by the size, however. This is still a fully-fledged Vita with all the same abilities (play your Vita games, PSOne Classics, PSP Games, remote play with the PS4 etc.), but it can also use a variety of video streaming services, such as Hulu.
The PS Vita TV will launch in Japan on November 10th for approximately $95, but a bundle with an 8GB memory card (yes, it still needs those) and a Dualshock 3 controller will cost approximately $150. No date for the system launching in the West, but it seems like it will at some point in the future.
