Some less positive, if not directly negative, news coming out of Nintendo today alongside their Nintendo Direct. Nintendo Japan's website has updated stating that the Nintendo Wii will end production soon.
The little console that broke records and succeeded when many thought it couldn't brought some great games like Xenoblade Chronicles, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Brother Brawl, and No More Heroes. Even if you aren't a fan of the company you have to admit that it was an interesting console from a sales and industry impact side of things.
No specific date was given and it currently seems to be solely the case in Japan, rather than worldwide, but here's wishing Nintendo the best of luck with their current console endeavor.
