CD Projekt Red have stated that there will be no more delays for their upcoming RPG The Witcher 3.
Speaking to Eurogamer at the Polish conference Digital Dragons, the developer's co-founder Marcin Iwinski promised that the large delay from Autumn to February was only a one off:
"This is not our first game; we are not newbies. It's not like 'hey we are delaying and we'll keep on delaying'. If we would think we need more time we would say 'hey we'll release it not in Feb but, I don't know, June'. We made the decision at the moment we were able to judge how much time we needed, and we planned it well and it works well for us. So, no more delays."
It's always difficult for developers to stick to their tough timing commitments, but hopefully the extra time CD Projekt Red have given themselves to work on the title means that there really won't be any more delays for The Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3 will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in February of 2015.
