It seems that Friday the 13th really is unlucky for some. Recent Tweets from GameTrailers staff suggest that there have been massive lay-offs at the company.
The news comes following the site's recent acquisition by Defy Media, who also acquired Addicting Games, Shockwave and GameTrailers from Viacom on Monday.
Ryan Stevens, former director of GameTrailers.com Tweeted the following:
"Exciting times ahead for @GameTrailers And Defy. I just won't be part of it. Best of luck space cowboys."
GameTrailers.com will continue to operate, but early reports suggest the site has lost two thirds of its full time team.
