Patch 6.82 has just been released for Dota 2. Also known as the 'Rekindling Soul' update, it brings with it the most fundamental set of changes to the game since Dota 2's original release.
Amongst other things, the new update includes substantial changes to the map layout (including re-positioning of the Roshan pit), a new rune, a new armor item, two re-worked heroes (Bloodseeker and Phantom Lancer), and the much-anticipated new model for Shadow Fiend.
Other new additions include courier morphing (no matter who buys the courier, when the courier delivers items to you, it will temporarily morph into the courier you have equipped), Fantasy Season Two, Fight Recaps (allows you to study the statistics behind your favourite skirmishes), and of course a whole host of new 'hats' (including an Arcana set for Shadow Fiend).
And if that isn't enough for you, the 6.82 balance patch introduces changes to almost every hero in the game as well as a handful of items.
