Colette is the lead Protagonist in Tales of Symphonia. Colette is the chosen of her world and is sent on a world regenration tour to restore balance to her world. Though this turns out to be a half truth in the greater scheme of things this causes the group to rethink what their doing and Colettes role as the chosen is eventually seen as more imprtant than first thought. Over the course of the game colette even loses her humanity in various ways, but the party eventually finds ways to fix this.
