Lyn is the first Lord in Fire Emblem, the seventh game in the Fire Emblem franchise. She became a bit of a mascot for the game, appearing as a trophy and assist trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and as a SpotPass and DLC recruitable character in Fire Emblem: Awakening. Oddly, there is no mention of her in Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi, to which Fire Emblem is a prequel.
Lyn is a simple plainswoman, the daughter of a Chief of the Lorca tribe of Sacae and a young Pharean noblewoman. Her entire life is torn apart after her clan is eradicated by a group of bandits, and she is left alone until the she meets the Tactician. Lyn features primarily in the first mode of the game, fightng a desperate battle to stop her uncle Lundgren and save her grandfather from his schemes, but plays a secondary role in the remainder of the game, after her grandfather's realm is nearly destroyed by the Black Fang.
