It was released exclusively on the PlayStation 3, despite Dynasty Warriors 7 also appearing on the Xbox 360, as well as bundled in a special package containing both DW7 and Xtreme Legends for PC. The PS3 version was released on September 29, 2011 in Japan, on November 15, 2011 in North America and on November 18, 2011 in Europe. The PC version was only released in Japan on March 9, 2012.
