Emizel is the son of Hugo, President of the Netherworld and a playable character in Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten. Originally planning to check out the "lowly demons trying to start a rebellion," he and his group, Abaddon, visit Hades and encountered Valvatorez, Fenrich, and Axel. After gloating about who he is and then being defeated, he flees deeper into Hades only to have Valvatorez and Fenrich confront him again. After many more encounters he joins Valvatorez's group.
Despite all his bragging, Emizel is not as powerful as he thinks and hides behind his father's title to get respect. However, after being defeated multiple times Emizel comes to admit that he is indeed "a complete failure". He then works hard to change himself and earn respect by his own means and power.
