Martel is a summon spirit and appears in Tales of Phantasia as a green haired women who guards the great Yggdrasill tree. She is first seen when Cress travels to the south forest which is a spirit forest. She is a key compnent of the story as she warns the party that the great tree is dying and that the world is losing Mana.
