Sheba (Aralon) - Overview

Sheba is one of four dragons in Aralon: Sword and Shadow HD and, in this player's opinion, is the most difficult enemy to kill in the game.  Once she has been defeated, however, a player will attain the dragonslayer status as well as receive some great loot.  Killing Sheba is not part of any quest that I have encountered, but it is worth seeking her out and defeating her in my opinion.

Sheba was not part of the original game but was added as part of the September 7, 2011 (for the iPod/iPhone/iPad user) update and was classified as a dragon uber-boss.  While Icefang is leveled higher than she is (50 to her 45), this player has found that it is still much harder to kill Sheba than Icefang.  In order to even reach her Lair, players must use either Helga's Ring or Greenfin Stew.  Once they are inside, it is impossible to leave except by teleportation to somewhere else (i.e. Callaheim, Karn, Redrock Bay or the second outland).  Her Lair is located near the end of Shadowspire Mines, too, and she should be fought after retrieving Icefang's egg from Ashmore.  Thus, getting to, defeating and getting away from Sheba's Lair is quite an achievement in and of itself.

Sheba's Lair is located in the Shadowspire Mines in the Dark Chasm.  Players should always make sure to complete the main tasks of the Stolen Egg quest before going to Sheba's Lair because the only way out of the Lair is to teleport somewhere else.  Thus, if the player hasn't completed the quest before seeking out Sheba, he or she will have to make their way back to Shadowspire Mines again to retrieve Icefang's egg!

Once players have entered the Dark Chasm, from the first island, looking back at the entrance to the Dark Chasm, players should go to the furthest left point.  From there, he or she must equip Helga's Ring or take a Greenfin Stew that will allow them to levitate.  Go over the side of the chasm at the furthest left point and look for a notch in the ledge.  Sheba's Lair is pretty far down into the chasm and is to the right of the notch in the ledge.  There will be a green arrow that will allow players to enter Sheba's Lair.

When fighting Sheba, I've found that the most difficult thing to deal with is Sheba's fire.  Each time she breathes fire on a player, it deals 700+ damage to him or her.  The key is to sustain as few fire attacks as possible and get in as many blows as you can.  The ranger and mage have the ability to use ranged attacks and so to the extent they can use them, they should take advantage of them since they will keep players out of Sheba's range of fire attacks.  The best attacks I've found to sustain steady damage that kills her more easily than others are using the judgment/retribution attacks as a paladin, fist of ice/shockwave blows as a mage, ranged attacks as a ranger and highest level whirling blade attacks as a warrior.  Rogues have the most difficult time defeating her but they can use a backstab blow against her in the beginning.

In addition to Sheba's fire, it is possible that she will end up somewhere in the air in her lair.  If this happens, it is almost impossible to land blows against her because she will be out of players' reach!  In order to get her back down to a level where she can be hurt, the easiest thing to do is to run into the back of her lair where she cannot go.  Once she has come down from a higher perch, players can go back out and fight her.

Once she has been defeated, players will receive the dragonslayer note as well as some loot, possibly including a fire cloak.  In order to exit the Lair, players must teleport using the Safety Ring or by using a teleport sheet purchased with Karma points.
