Jack Sparrow is the main character and protagonist of the Pirates of the Caribbean series. He is a legendary pirate and captain of the Black Pearl, which he lost to Barbossa in a mutiny and later regained after killing him. He was born on a ship during a typhoon, and his father was Edward Teague, a notorious pirate. He is known to be a trickster, having caused trouble for many people during his travels.
He has appeared in many games based on the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise including the video game Kingdom Hearts II, where he is a playable characters, and the upcoming Disney Infinity.
