Tatanga is a character from the Super Mario Land series and the main antagonist in Super Mario Land. He invades the peaceful land of Sarasaland, kidnaps Princess Daisy and hypnotizes all of the land's inhabitants to do his bidding, with the strongest becoming the bosses. He is encountered again in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, but only as a boss and not the main antagonist.
He is a purple alien that is only fought in his spaceship in both games. Upon his defeat in the second game, it is found out that he is even shorter than Mario.
