The Contessa has appeared only in Sly 2: Band of Thieves.
Sly, Murray and Carmelita are locked up in Prague after being arrested during the aftermath of the battle with Rajan. It is here that it is revealed that she hypnotizes the criminals into revealing the location of their treasures. Bentley rescues Sly, then as Contessa tries to brainwash Murray, she fails and they rescue him as well. She escapes to her castle estate, where she is holding the Clockwerk Eyes and trying to brainwash Carmelita.
Sly, not allowing Contessa to brainwash Carmelita, stopped her and defeated her in combat. The Contessa, still thinking herself superior to Sly and his gang, is defeated a second time at their hands and is arrested and stripped of her position. After her time in jail, it is shown that she became a real estate broker, most likely using the power of hypnosis on her clients.
