The Sly Cooper franchise is a series of platformers that were developed for Sony's platforms, with the first three being released on the Playstation 2 and the fourth one on the Playstation 3 and the PS Vita. They weren't pure platformers, as all of the games included stealth gameplay elements in them.
The first game, Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, debuted on the Playstation 2 on September 23, 2002 and was developed by Sucker Punch. Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves were also developed by Sucker Punch, and released on the PS2. Remastered versions of all three PS2 games was developed by Sanzaru Games and released on the PS3. Because of this game's success, Sanzaru developed and released the fourth game in the series, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
