Demitri Maximoff is a character in the Darkstalkers series of fighting games. He is a vampire and first appeared in Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors. He used to live in Makai until he challenged Morrigan's father, Belial, and was soundly defeated. He and his castle, which is called Zeltzereich, was transported to the human world.
Here, he used this time to stay in his castle and healed his wounds for 100 years, even going to "recruit" some humans, until he went back to the Makai to try once more for Belial's head. The only problem was that Belial died and his successor was his daughter, Morrigan. Before Demitri could go after her, he was sucked into the Majigen by Jedah Dohma, where he is now.
