The Penguin is a major villian from the DC Comics universe, co-created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. His first appearance was in the Detective Comics #58, which came out in December 1941. Born Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, he was teased as a child for his appearance and eventually turned to crime as a result. He has a love for birds, as well as a love for trick umbrellas, which are his main source of weaponry.
The Penguin has appeared in almost every form of media, as well as many video games based on the DC Universe. These include the Batman: Arkham series, LEGO Batman: The Videogame, DC Universe Online, Injustice: Gods Among Us, and numerous other titles.
