Eclair is the Princess of Paprica and close from to Prier and Culotte in La Pucelle: Tactics. When signs of a Dark Knight appear around Cresson Castle, La Pucelle investigates and find Eclair passed out. Receding into her own heart, due to the stress of becoming queen and her desire to see the outside world, a manifestation called Dark Eclair has taken control. Although Alouette weakens her and seals her within Eclair's heart, she can sometimes change into Dark Eclair.
Dark Eclair appears as a DLC character in Japanese re-release, Disgaea 2 Portable, but was not included in the North American re-release, Disgaea: Dark Hero Days.
