Jack Hamilton is a wandering gunman and a member of the Teru Tribe in Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia. Born Harmonica De Pameli, he is was born in the Teru Tribe and seems to have a deep connection with Flute and Tastiella. For most of Misha's life, Jack has looked out for her and raised her as a surrogate big brother, so when she lest Crescent Chronicle, he left Em Pheyna. Eventually separated from Misha when Bourd kidnapped her, he pursued them and became wounded in the Battle of Skuwat. When he awoke, his left arm and part of his torso had been replaced with metallic parts by Krusche.
Traveling the world and living off random mercenary jobs, he knows much of the world and also seems well informed. He encounters Lyner Barsett just after Lyner crashes in the Lower World, stealing his airship parts. Back in town, Jack defends Lyner from the villagers and joins Lyner in his quest.
In Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel, Jack and Krusche head to the Sol Cluster in search of Krusche's old boyfriend, Luke, who disappeared after trying to pass the Blastline in an airship.
