The Creative Assembly is a video game developer founded in 1987 by Tim Ansell. Initially the company worked on ports and Electronic Arts IP before being able to develop their own IP in 1999. That IP, which began with Shogun: Total War, went on to become one of the most well-regarded strategy series in the industry.
The Creative Assembly for the most part work on entries in the Total War series, although they have worked on numerous other, less acclaimed titles since being acquired by Sega in 2005, such as Viking: Battle for Asgard and Stormrise.
