The game was released in Japan on January 9, 2010, in North America it was released on September 7, 2010, and on September 10, 2010 in Europe . A "Final Mix" version of the game that features new content was released in Japan on January 20, 2011.
Birth by Sleep is the sixth installment in the Kingdom Hearts series. It is a prequel to the first Kingdom Hearts. The game tells the story of three heros that are connected to Sora's heart, it also reveals the mysterious and lost past of Master Xehanort.
