Tales of Phantasia is a Japanese role-playing game developed by Namco Tales Studio and published by Namco for release on PlayStation.
This remake, which was released only a year after Tales of Destiny, used the Tales of Destiny engine and all the benefits from the advancement to refine and enhance the gameplay. A few examples of these enhancements are the TP-consumtion moves, voice-acted skits, fully animated opening sequence, new sidequests, new spells, a new summon, a new playable character, cooking, and titles.
In September 2006, a port for the Playstaion Portable called Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition was developed by Mineloader Software for release in Japan. Largely based upon the remake, it contains completely rerecorded voice acting that appear for most story event, new battle sprites for the main characters, and a grade system.
