Tales of Rebirth tells the story of Veigue Lungberg who steps outside of his normal life to look into a mysterious force that attacks his village. The game actually goes deep into the issues of racism in the world and the party members themselves are affected by this as they progress through their journey.
Rebirth's world is actually one where humans and Gajumas lived togethr in peace a bond that was further strengthened years ago when both races came togethor to form the kingdom of Karegia. Though chaos eventually breaks out once the ruler a Gajuma dies a mysterious death.
