Bonus deathmatch levels

Successfully complete any tournament mode level then save the game to a deathmatch mode level Each completed tournament level will unlock a new deathmatch level



Use the password for quotThe Carnivalquot level Complete that level and save the game After you see the wish start a deathmatch and all the new levels will be unlocked



Unlimited weapon

Use up all of your weapons except for the one to become unlimited Then use up that last weapon until you have none remaining Then press Right Left Downx2 for the quotRear attackquot special move The last weapon fired will now be unlimited

Defeating Sweet Tooth

Collect as many Freeze Bombs and Remote Bombs as possible then get on the tent Set a Remote Bomb and a Freeze Bomb down and wait until Sweet Tooth gets on the tent Freeze him blow him up with remote bomb then hit him with your special If you get caught in his special in the process just press Up Up Down Down and you will usually break out of it

Go through the bubble to the top of the smaller tent then lay out three Proximity Mines Get away from them but do not drive off the tent Sweet Tooth will drive through the bubble to try to get to you and get blown into the sky After that he will die



Defeating Slam and Auger

Try to get near a ledge or save many weapons Push them off the ledge or destroy them away with weapons



Defeating the Construction Yard Boss

Simply stay away from his special attack



Defeating the Neon City Boss

His special attack is like Sweet Tooths Try hitting him with long range missiles and freezing him as much as possible



Defeating the Road Rage Boss

Just stay away from the front of his car where he shoots fire Use a turbo if you are engulfed



Defeating the Oil Rig Bosses

Since they both have specials that can only hit you when you are in front of them stay away from that side of them If caught up in their special use hyperspace by pressing Upx2 Downx2 to escape They usually do not gang up on you if you focus on one at a time Make them chase you to keep them apart



Defeating Minion

Use the hit and run tactic to defeat Minion without using the quotGod modequot or quotSweet Toothquot codes



Running is a big option but if you like to ride instead stay near right next to him This will make it harder for him to hit you with his special Stay to the side because his tank is so big it takes a wide turns and will give you an opportunity to attack Run when health is needed and always utilize freezing



Defeating various Bosses

If Meter Maid strikes you or if you get hit by too many weapons and get thrown up into the air very high press Upx2 Downx2 to escape falling to death NoteYour energy bar needs to be at least halfway full



Escape special attacks

If you get caught in Trash Mans or another character with a similar special attack from the front or back freeze them



Drive by remote and freeze bombs

If you drive by a car that is not moving or moving slowly plant a remote or freeze bomb next to it Keep driving and detonate it a second later You will not be harmed by the freeze or explosion This is the most effective way to use the bombs



Proximity mine trap

Get the proximity mine powerup and place three of them in the same location Reverse or teleport away The next person to hit that location will be in a big surprise as they will lose a lot of health and go flying Note Do not put more than three proximity mines there or they will explode and damage you very badly Another trick is to put the cluster of mines next to a gasoline tank This will cause a big explosion



Secret area in Construction Yard

Get through the teleport on top of the buildings Destroy the box sticking out of the ground to reveal a hole



Secret area in Neon city

Jump the ramp through the glass on top of the buildings Blow out the left wall to reveal a bus stop



Secret area in Road Rage

Find a building close to one of the streets and blow away the barricade and glass



Secret area in The Bedroom

Destroy the boxes that are marked as gasoline



Secret area in Amazonia 3000 BC

Go to the magnetic jump closest to the semipyramid with the partial health Try shooting Power Missiles at the walls to the left of the jump This secret area consists of a full health pickup and a huge acid pile



Destroy the wall next to the green launch object



There is a secret area at the bottom of the level the white part with the Teleport near the Arrow to the left around the corner Keep shooting weapons and a tunnel will appear Inside is a giant acid pool a teleport weapons though the teleport a MIRV Freeze Remote and others and a full health pickup



Secret area in Oil Rig

On the bottommost floor make a left at the walkway leading to the teleport Destroy the fencelike objects in the building



Secret area in Minions Maze

Near the middle of the level are four fences all leading to the same place Destroy those fences to find a basement with many extras



Shoot the gates on the first floor of Minions Maze to unlock an area with various powerups



Secret area in The Carnival

Use a napalm or remote bomb by the door with the skeleton to destroy the floor Follow it down into the ghost house make a left and keep going into the corner to reach a brick wall Destroy it head down the hallway and destroy the next wall to get by the roller coaster



Facing the huge tents entrance go to the right to find a little box that is connected to the roller coaster Destroy the floor near it to access a new secret area This area can also be accessed by a brick wall in the tunnel leading to the ghost house



Getting on the tent in The Carnival

There are two ways to get on the tent The first method is to go into the teleporter next to the building and aim for the tent Then using turbo go off the ramp and onto the tent The second method is to get to the roller coaster Go to the location where the tent is near on the highest point Then just driveturbo off



Clowns in The Carnival

Go in the tent and shoot the walls There will be pictures of clowns there Note You can shoot it with machine guns



Super jump at The Carnival

Go through the portal by the clown building Turbo jump onto the next tent Gather all the weapons at the tents edge one Rain Rocket one MIRV one Rain 2 one Homing Missile one Fire Missle Turbo and remote mines Go to the peak get the Lightning and line yourself up with the tents peak facing the railroad tracks Turbo to the end of the tent and jump You will fly onto the railroad tracks leaving the CPU cars with no way to reach you Rid yourself of the train by using the Remote Mines Slowly make your way to the lowest point near a closed door that you can shoot Also gather the weapons on the tracks Try to avoid the Full Life on the tracks unless you need it no other cars including Sweet Tooth can reach you from here Once you reach the area with the door spin to face the other cars Use your Freeze to stop the cars then bombard them with all your weapons This method can be used to kill Sweet Tooth

In Sweet Tooths Bedroom level you can see a picture of the old Mr Grimm from Twisted Metal 3 on the wall



Riding the bus in Neon City

Jump into the glass by using the ramp Then shoot the wall on the left with missiles or your machine gun You will find a small quotbus stopquot Stand there and wait until the bus drives by The bus will hover you into the air The bus will quotdrop you offquot automatically This area consists of a full health pickup and a lightning pickup



Neon City subway and roller coaster

Use Power Missiles to destroy the train that rides through the tunnels When destroyed you can get some more weapons In the carnival destroy the roller coaster to ride freely through Failure to destroy these will cost you half or more of your energy



Instead of playing target practice with power missiles which do not work unless the target is hit right and risk taking the loss of half your life by getting hit one of them plant at least one proximity mine in the path of the trains However if you want to make sure it is destroyed or if you just want to leave a surprise for another player then leave three or four



Winning in Oil Rig

Stay in one area a recommended location is near the only health pickup Place Proximity Mines by the doorways and wait until cars enter If possible place a remote bomb that will push them off the edge and into an oily grave You can use this strategy when fighting Super Auger and Super Slamm If your are caught in their specials use your Hyperspace andor Shield



The jump to the health dropped off by the plane can only be reached by using turbos or one of the teleports If you take the jump and miss it and start falling quickly press Upx2 Downx2 to teleport and prevent the loss of a life



Drive to the helicopter landing pad where there is a partial health powerup Lay three proximity mines on the front of the helicopter pad facing the ramp Wait for someone to come off the ramp and when they land they will be launched into the air You can also do the same thing with remote mines Another good technique for the helicopter pad involves Orbital Launch onto it then face the ramp you came off Wait until someone is about to launch off and if you can time it correctly fire his special so that it will suck the car out of the air freeze them and send them plummeting to their death unable to do warp because they are frozen



After defeating all other cars go to the life platform Place a Freeze Mine at the edge Both Super Slamm and Auger will not make the jump just detonate the bomb



Extra items in Oil Rig

You can blow up the helicopter After doing so there will be numerous weapons around the landing pad Note This takes some time



Helicopter kill in Oil Rig

Go as close to an edge as possible Next try to get both the Bosses to come after you at the same time When they use their specials on you use Hyperspace If timed correctly Auger and Slamm will use each others specials on each other and get propelled off the battlefield If you use Hyperspace too late their attacks will stop and they can perform the Hyperspace move Note Do not do this on a lower floor or in a building



You can destroy the helicopter by getting up on the landing pad Wait until the helicopter is about to set down then blast it with any missile except the homing After doing so many weapons will appear on the pad



Lightning bolt locations

Lightning bolts can be found in almost every level



Neon City

Take the bus ride and it will drop you on another balcony Break the balcony glass windows to reach a platform with some powerups and a green jump



Road Rage

Blow the wall away on the right of the building on the bottom of the steep hill to find various powerups



The Bedroom

Destroy the lamp while staying away from the walls and middle of the room High ground is the safest place



Amazonia 3000 BC

Jump the series of jumps to the teleport There are many powerups including the lightning bolt on that balcony When detonating it anything around that building will be zapped



Oil Rig

Go through the teleporter on top of the red building that has the teleport inside of it



Minions Maze

Get all the way to the top in the middle to the white section to find a separate island Use the jump to get over and then grab it by using the thing that shoots you up Detonate it from there to stay safe



The Carnival

Go through the teleport next to the building and use the ramp to get onto the tent use turbos The lightning bolt is all the way at the peak It will zap everyone on the rollercoaster track Try luring your opponents to that location get off at the last moment then detonate



Auto Lob location

Go to the following locations to find an Auto Lob



Neon City

Follow the train tracks to the top and find a ramp to go off of Do a ramp and the Auto Lob will be in there



Road Rage

Find a crack in the wall near the hill There will be a crack to the left or right of it Shoot the crack open and find Auto Lob and other weapons



The Bedroom

Destroy the boxes marked quotGasolinequot you and go inside Travel through reaching a big area The Auto Lob will be there in this area



Amazonia 3000 BC

Go through a series of ramps to a teleport Go through it and land on a tower Go around the tower without falling and you should find an Auto Lob



The Oil Rig

Go through the teleport on the red building to land above the drill and next to the Auto Lob



Minions Maze

Go to the center of the level and destroy the gates to go down into an underground area with an Auto Lob



The Carnival

Go to the gate to the roller coaster Turn right and follow that path to an Auto Lob

Extinguish Sweet Tooths flame

Freezing Sweet Tooth will put out the flaming head on top of his car



Escape from Sweet Tooths special attack

Do a Hyperspace Up Up Down Down to escape Sweet Tooths special attack



Refill health with Meter Maid

If you are low on health with Meter Maid get out your Special Weapon While you are striking someone hold L2 and watch your health refill so you can get more energy



Easy kill with Meter Maid

Enable the quotUnlimited Specialsquot code Then use her special and hold L2



Enable the quotUnlimited Specialsquot quotPowerful Specialsquot and quotExtra Fast Weaponsquot codes Choose Meter Maid in any mode and select your special weapon Hold quotFirequot L1 Any other car nearby will be thrown in the air and die instantly and you will gain a lot of life



Super fire

Do not waste time firing one weapon at a time By scrolling through the weapons and pressing L2 R2 you will fire a large array of weapons that cause massive amounts of damage Note Empty all proximity mines before attempting this It is best done in reverse when other car is pursuing



Flaming acid

Shooting a napalm or any fire weapon onto the green acid results in a wave of fire through the green liquid that will engulf everyone on it



Easier napalm or mortar attack

To easily hit an enemy with a napalm or a mortar just simply go directly in front of or ram into your opponent and shoot a napalm or a mortar If you are close enough you will hit your opponent immediately when you shoot



See through walls

Get as close as possible and side by side to a wall to get a chance to see right through it



Neon City tracks

Staying to the left or right of the train in Neon City is safe Being on the right track of the rollers coaster keeps you safe from the train



Using the crane

When in a level with a crane enter it pick someone up and drop them in the fire where the three flames are seen Do not let them hit the ground Pick them up again and repeat until they explode



Pictures of the little clowns

Go to the Carnival level Ride around until you see a small tent Blow up the entrance Go inside and shoot at various parts of the room If you hit the correct location a clown will appear There are three clowns at front wall and one on both side walls



Extinguishing fires

Use the turbo when on fire to rid yourself of it



Instant death

Note A fast car is highly recommended Get one proximity icon and a remote bomb icon Go to the area you wish to lay these items and come to a dead stop Quickly lay the three proximities You should run out of proximities and will automatically switch to the remote bombs Lay the remote bomb and turbo forward to get out of there If not you will explode and die Turn around and wait for someone to make contact When a proximity blows up detonate the remote bomb This works best in a narrow passageway and it will only work if the three proximities and the remote bomb are laying directly on each other This is also a great way to commit kamikaze to another CPU or player if you stay there a second longer



Fly high as Calypso

Enable the quotGod modequot code and use a Nuke Blow it up on yourself and use jump quickly You will be blasted very high Note If you go too high or exit the arena you will die even though God mode is active



Glitch Sweet Tooth hair

Use Sweet Tooth and go to Neon City Use the bus and when you are flying around your hair will be floating about an inch to an inch and a half above your head



In player select mode Sweet Tooths fire hair is made of metal but during game play it is replaced with real fire



Glitch Hide in Minions maze

Go to the only gate that is next to the green acid Shoot it and go inside The proximity mines should be on your right at the bottom of the ramp Do not break any other gates If done correctly no other car including Minion will be able to find you



Glitch Fly off level through corner

Choose Sweet Tooth and one other character in multiplayer mode Enable the quotUnlimited weaponsquot and quotGod modequot codes for both players Continuously shoot Sweet Tooths special while the other driver drives into a corner using turbo In time the other driver will go flying out of the level Note This will not work in Oil Rig special levels or any other levels with cliffs
