LittleBigPlanet Karting is, as the name implies, a kart racer based around Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet franchise. Players will race around a variety of tracks, with the aim being to finish first.
Like most kart racers, LBP Karting will include power-ups which can be acquired around the race track, with weapons suchs as EMPs, grenades and missiles, all of which can be fired both forwards and backwards at opponents. There are also utility power-ups which aid players, such as Autpilot and Fast Forward.
Much as in the previous mainline LittleBigPlanet games, you will also be able to slap fellow sackboys/girls, which will stun them.
LittleBigPlanet Karting will also feature several different modes as well as the standard circuit races and story mode, including Battle Mode, Score Attack, Waypoint Races, and Treasure Hunt.
Finally, LittleBigPlanet Karting will feature the franchise's staple of user-generated content and will thereby provide a continuation of the series' "Play, Create, Share" motto. Users can customise their Sackboy, his/her karts, and create their own tracks The track editor will allow users to adjust and create their own game rules, weapons and tracks and subsequently share them online through the PlayStation Network for other users to download and play.
