Staying true to their philosophy, Mojang will release the game at a reduced price but half finished. The game will be further developed based on the feedback that players give and completed as a fan/developer partnership. Currently, the game is in closed Alpha testing phase expected to go into Beta phase later this year.
By paying a one time subscription fees, players can become life time members and receive regular updates to their speck of scrolls.
Alternatively, gold will be used as the in-game currency which can be used to buy scrolls as well as new gear for your units. Gold is earned in the game by playing ranked matches against other players online or against the AI offline.
