Badland is 2D side-scrolling action game that features beautiful artistic environments, clever puzzles and physics that are sometimes quirky and unpredictable.
General Gameplay
Players control a bat-like creature by tapping the screen to make it fly and letting go to descend. Levels scroll from left to right and the goal is to reach the end of the level and avoid the many perilous dangers along the way including spinning blades and pulverizing pillars that will make short work of the little bat protagonist.

Items
There are many items to pick up throughout the levels. You can make your bat shrink or grow bigger with the right item and the more of it that you collect increases its effect. Picking up the opposite reverses said effect. There are also items that allow sticking to walls, repelling off, and a spinning maneuver where the bat becomes a rolling ball. Finally, there is also the ability to duplicate the bat into one or more clones.
Level Goals
Levels range from carefully navigating the bat through tight corridors to figuring out clever puzzles, and sometimes just making a fast dash to reach the end of the level quickly, delivering a very hectic and chaotic experience – especially with the multitude of items thrown in altering the variables.

In addition to reaching the exit, each level contains three unique goals which are revealed after completing them once. These challenges range from completing the level on a single try to keeping a certain number of clones alive until the end. Players are awarded an egg for each challenge completed, and obtaining all of the eggs in the game adds greatly to the replay value.
Multiplayer
The multiplayer mode in Badland consists of up to four players using the same device simultaneously by tapping on their own portion of the surface. The whole goal of this mode is to see which player can get the furthest, with that player getting the most points, along with points awarded for items that were picked up.
