Octodad puts players in control of the titular Octodad, an octopus posing as a human. From a third-person perspective, players must control Octodad as he goes about his daily life, attempting to satisfactorily complete basic human tasks without blowing his cover.
This time, Octodad has gotten himself in a bind between his wife's mounting mistrust and a disastrous trip to the local aquarium.

Movement
Due to the control challenges that being a cephalopod pose (Octodad's limbs are controlled separately, making even the simple act of walking difficult), completing these ordinarily mundane human chores is far from easy.
There are two 'modes' of gameplay: arm mode and walking mode.
When in arm mode the left stick moves your arms to the sides, and forwards and backwards. Meanwhile, the right stick moves your arms up and down. Finally, R1 or X are used to grab whatever your arm is touching. You can use the L1 trigger to switch to walking mode. In walking mode the R2 and L2 triggers are used to move Octodad's right and left legs respectively.
Additionally, on PlayStation 4, Dadlist Catch will have PlayStation Move support.
Gaining Suspicion
If Octodad fails to go about his daily life and complete tasks without masking his true nature sufficiently, then it will raise suspicion amongst the world's humans that he is not what he appears to be. If the player makes too many mistakes and generates too much suspicion from the human populace, then you will doom Octodad to sleep with the fishes.
