Ghost Song: A Journey of Hope is a 2D action/platformer game being developed by Matt White and released on Linux, Mac OS, and Microsoft Windows. The game is inspired and styled after classic 2D Metroid games, with some design choices taken from Dark Souls. Ghost Song follows the android Rook as he explores the mysterious world of Lorian V.
Lorian V is a place of myth and legend that many have attempted to explore and from which few have returned. There are numerous theories about what this moon actually is, but the most important thing to know about it is that when people end up there the result always seems to be the same. Death. The moon is haunted by the souls of its victims; ghosts who linger on while their twisted bodies roam, no more than empty vessels of chaos and aggression.

Gameplay
Ghost Story: A Journey of Hope is a 2D action/platformer, in the style of "Metroidvania" style of games. It is open world and players are free to explore any area they can reach, with new powers granting access to new places. There are many hidden places to be discovered, some of which are hidden very well.
