A 20 year old California college student named Alex travels across the world from San Francisco to modern day Romania. She learns that the seemingly safe modern world is divided by a dark curtain where nightmares become realty. Alone and trapped in darkness, Alex is forced to face the Moroi, modern vampires and must escape and save her friends.
General Gameplay
Sacrilegium is a survival horror game in which the player must use their available resources wisely to survive. Alex is adept in martial arts and close combat and will also be able to use several ranged weapons from handguns to crossbows.
The game will also feature quick time events similar to games like Heavy Rain and will even feature the use of vehicles such as a police motorbike.
Aesthetics
Sacrilegium uses the GRACE 2 Engine and is focused on bringing atmospheric, cinematic horror to life. Character animations and facial expressions are motion captured for fluid movement and cinematic fight sequences are acted out by stage professionals and martial arts experts and are even directed by film industry virtuosos.
The game also supports Eye-tracking: 3D-ET and stereoscopic 3D.
