Tips and Strategies
Form combos
Try to always attack with combos for extra damage. Chain all of your allies' attacks in order to deal maximum damage and to send your enemies running off in different directions. Take note of the blue lines that appear as you move your units. This means that units with blue lines can be included in the attack you will be executing, so the more blue lines, the better damage you deal.
Know your enemy's capabilities
There are enemy units that have certain abilities that can either deal more raw damage to you or do area damage. For example, mages can deal a lot of damage to you, but they can only attack vertically, so you can attack it from the left and right to avoid their attacks. Knowing the enemy units' characteristics can help you properly plan your next move, and this will ultimately help you win battles.
Defeat their healers first
This is probably a basic rule in team fights - always take out the support units such as healers so taking out other units will be easier. In the beginning, these support units are easy to defeat as they don't have that much HP, so they won't be much trouble.
Loot the Hunting Zones!
These special areas contain different prizes and equipment that you can obtain. Also, you can find other items that can help you unlock different jobs for your characters. The items they reward you vary everyday, so be sure to check them often!
It's super effective!
Always remember which weapon/element type is effective against another. This can greatly turn the tide of a battle if you take advantage of it. Fire and ice elements are effective against each other, so you will need a strategy to properly take opposing units with those elements out. The same goes for those who have the light and darkness elements.
- Swords > Bows
- Bows > Spears
- Spears > Swords
You can see a unit's weapons type from the weapon icon displayed at the top-right of their portrait. Their elements can be seen on the bottom right corner with corresponding colors; red for fire, blue for ice, yellow for light, and purple for darkness. If you can attack units with their weapon type and elemental weaknesses, then you'll be able to do massive damage to them.
Grind for coins and experience
These are the two main things that's a must-have. By spending your coins on your heroes, you can improve their abilities. Do this until you only have rares. Grind for XP and coins by playing your previously cleared stages.
Clear them out in one fell swoop
Try to trap more than one enemy in between your units, in order to deal the same damage you would normally do for one unit to all of them. This will allow you to clear out most of your enemies making it easier to take out the other units left. Not only does executing pincer attacks deal more damage at a time, it only gives an XP boost if you can somehow take all your enemies out at once.
Look out for Metal Zones
If you see a Metal Zone open in the world map, go into it immediately and battle the metal monsters that can be found there, as they give you a lot of XP to strengthen your units. These special areas come up randomly, so it is important that you check in every now and then so you don't miss easy experience gains.
