Alternate Costumes
Enter the following codes on the Title Screen for the desired costume You should see a message saying quotPress the A Button to Beginquot after entry

After making the rocket that leads you to the last cave do NOT talk to Momorin to get your booster back Instead just take the rocket and keep your Mimiga Mask There will be some dialog change after this point and some of the portraits displayed during the credits will be altered as well

Perform the actions below to unlock different endings
Alternate Outfits
While on the title screen hold the B button and enter one of the buttons combinations below to change Quotes appearance
If entered correctly the quotPress the A Button to Beginquot message will flash
The codes will work for any difficulty setting
ChristmasHolidays Costume
If the Wiis date is December 24 to 26 set in thw Wiis settings the appearance of the character in Cave Story would change into a ChristmasHolidays costume regardless of character selected
The character and hisher costume will be ingame and in the menu
Early Jet Pack
The Machine Gun can be used as a quotjet packquot when its at Level 3 Just jump and aim it downward to float up until your ammo runs out
Hold Out for the Spur
Once you get to Curly and beat her in the Sand Zone avoid trading your Polar Star for the Machine Gun Later in the game you can trade it for the Spur the strongest weapon in the game
Sound Test
This should only work on the update or European version From the Options menu highlight the music option Not the volume the one with the NewOld option and press 1 to go forward 2 to go back While the music is playing you can switch between Old and New to hear the original version or the New version
Unlockable Game Modes
Only applies to the updated version they are unlocked from the start in the original release
