Cave Story is a freeware platform-adventure video game developed by Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya for Microsoft Windows and Mac. The game follows protagonist Quote and Curly Brace as they discover the evil plot by the Doctor, who intends to force the inhabitants of the cave to fight for him in his bid to conquer the world.
The game was later ported by Nicalis for the WiiWare and DSiWare in 2010 and an enhanced version called Cave Story+ was released for Steam in 2011.
