After programming by himself for a while as a teenager, Gaute Godager formed a group with Andre Backen, Erik Gloersen, Olav Mørkrid and Ian Neil to create a game together for the Amiga, which was never released. Together they created a video game developer company under the name of Funcom. After working in Funcom for 16 years, Gaute Godager left in September of 2008 because of personal dissatisfaction with Age of Conan, as the last remaining founder of Funcom. His most noticable work are Anarchy Online and Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures . He has a PhD in psychology, and owns a small company called Psykolog Gaute Godager.
