A few days ago CD Projekt RED announced two major expansions for its upcoming RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. According to listings posted on online storefronts, including Steam, the season pass, which includes both of these expansions bundled together, will set players back $24.99/£19.99.
Before balking at what initially seems a high price point, however, it's worth bearing in mind that CD Projekt RED estimates that the two expansions will have a combined completion time of over 30 hours, as we noted earlier in the week:
Hearts of Stone is estimated to be around 10 hours long and sends Geralt into 'the wilds of No Man’s Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt, where he’ll try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass'. It will release in October.
Blood & Wine is expected to be even more substantial, with an estimated completion time of 20 hours. It will introduce an entirely new game region, called Toussaint. It will release in Q1 2016.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will launch on 19th May on PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
