The latest Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, has hit store shelves and sold 535,665 units first week worldwide for the week ending March 21, according to the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD launched for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PlayStation 4 version sold 461,117 units in its first week worldwide, while the Xbox One version sold 74,488 units.
Breaking down sales by region, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD sold a combined 258,055 units in the US. The PlayStation 4 version sold 205,584 units, while the Xbox One version sold 52,471 units. The game sold a combined 106,191 units in Europe. The PlayStation 4 version sold 92,723 units and the Xbox One version sold 13,468 units. In Japan, the PlayStation 4 version sold 92,413 units. The game sold 79,006 units in the rest of the world.
The game was originally released for the PSP on October 27, 2011 in Japan with the name Final Fantasy Type-0. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is an HD port of that title and it was developed and published by Square Enix.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It launched in North America on March 17, March 18 in Japan, and March 20 in Europe.
