Miyamoto Overcome With Sadness Following Iwata's Death

Legendary video game developer Shigeru Miyamoto has said that he is overcome with sadness following the news of Nintendo President Saturo Iwata's passing.

“I am surprised at this sudden news and overcome with sadness,” Mr. Miyamoto said in a statement issued to the Wall Street Journal. The two had worked closely together ever since Iwata became the fourth Nintendo President in 2002.

Miyamoto's words no doubt reflect the feelings of a large number of Nintendo fans and gaming fans in general today.
