Microsoft has released a new firmware update for all Xbox One owners which primarily paves the way for the new dashboard update.
The update itself doesn't add much to the console aside from fixing some party chat issues, but it does make all Xbox One consoles ready for the new dashboard when it releases this fall.
The update could also indicate that members of the Preview Program will be given access to the new dashboard soon.
