Sony is allowing PlayStation 4 owners to sign up to test out a beta version of the upcoming firmware update for the console.
In order to sign up you must own a PlayStation 4, have an internet connection, and use a PS4 master account. A sub-account is not sufficient.
Beta testers will be able to roll back to the previous version of the PlayStation 4 system software at any time should they not find the beta update to their liking.
The beta commences on September 2nd.
