Paul George is the Cover Star of the MyNBA2K16 Companion App

2K has announced the cover star of its MyNBA2K16 companion app.

Who knew that companion apps even have cover stars now? Well, now you do since Indiana Pacers' shooting guard, Paul George, will grace the virtual cover of MyNBA2K16, the companion app to 2K's hit basketball sim NBA 2K16.

"I've been a long-time fan of the NBA 2K series and love staying close to the game when I'm on the road," said Paul George. "Being selected as the face of MyNBA2K16 is the perfect opportunity to stay connected with the game, as well as represent the NBA 2K franchise."

Players who download the companion app will be able to use it to earn virtual currency, watch episodes of 2KTV, and play the collectible card game MyTEAM Mobile.

The companion app is being developed by Cat Daddy Games and will be available for free on both iOS and Android on October 1, 2015.
