Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki is hard at work on Shenmue III and has told DualShockers that the game's development is progressing nicely.
"It’s going very well," Suzuki said. "We’re currently testing the Unreal Engine 4. We’re also undergoing testing for maps of the three areas that will make up Shenmue III."
The character visuals have also been improved since the early prototypes and thanks to the efforts of Shenhua Ling's original creator her character model is "looking a lot cuter".
Suzuki noted that he thinks the game will ultimately run at 30 frames per second, because he feels it will be too difficult to achieve 60 fps. However, he isn't entirely certain either way as the game is still in the early stages of development.
